Frequently asked questions
Trouble with playing videos

Within our network, all movies are provided either in RealPlayer (*.rm) or WindowsMedia (*.wmv) format.

If you are experiencing problems to playback our videos:

First of all, ensure that your system is prepared for playing movie files of type .RM and .WMV. To play RealMedia files (.rm) you need to have a RealPlayer installed on your system, available for free at real.com. To play WindowsMedia files (.wmv) you need to have a Windows Media Player installed on your system, available for free at the official Microsoft web site microsoft.com.

For smooth playback of our movies, it is essential that you download them to your hard disk first. Do not play online from our server by clicking directly on the movie links. Please click the movie link with your right mouse button and select the 'save to file' or 'save target as' option and select a download directory on your own hard disk. Wait until the download has *completely* finished. Now start the appropriate player, open the movie file from your download directory and press 'Play'. Once the movie file is downloaded, you can keep it forever and you can play it from your hard disk as many times as you like.

If the movie stops somewhere in the middle of playback, before the timeline has ended, or if you're asked again for a username and password *after* the file has obviously been downloaded, you either haven't downloaded the complete file, or you are attempting to play the movie directly from our server instead of saving the file to your own hard disk first.
